The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe to arrive April
Thursday, February 2nd, 2006Dawson’s Creek series 6 is out!
Monday, January 30th, 2006UK viewers rejoyce, Dawson’s Creek series 6 the complete series dealie is now available to purchase! I know because I was down at Virgin Megastores at 9:15 this morning buying myself a copy :D. I’ve got through the first disk already too :p.
Best of all - audio commentary from Kevin Williamson and Paul Stupin! Kevin, who created the show hasn’t done audio commentary for it since the first series (the rest were just Paul Stupin on his own or with Kerr Smith once, series 6 was void of all commentary).
Wierdly though he is credited as Kevin Williams on the back of the box. What is that about?

Wallace & Gromit hit DVD next month
Thursday, January 26th, 2006Doom to hit stores February
Thursday, January 19th, 2006Yet another DC update
Monday, January 16th, 2006Ok, I know this is turning into a bit of a Dawson’s Creek biased blog but it’s very important to me :p. Anyway so Play.com are still listing the 23rd while Virgin Megastores are saying the 30th and Amazon.co.uk are now also saying that.
Meanwhile, for the US release Amazon.com are still saying they don’t know but DawsonsCreekMusic.om are saying April 4th! That’s ages away! They also concur with pretty much everyone other than Play.com that the UK release date with be January 30th.
Finally one more thing to mention. Take a look at this…
I’ve drawn a red ring about the section you should be looking at. It’s the 1-6 giant boxset which looks cool enough but Katie Holmes is listed is starring in it. I don’t think so! As much as I like Katie, James Can Der Beek is the true star and nothing FHM can say will ever change that!
X-Files series 1 (M-Lock)
Thursday, January 12th, 2006I’m still trying to work out whether there is an actual difference between X-Files: The Complete Series boxsets and X-Files series (M-Lock) versions other than the fact that the M-Lock versions are about a third of the price. The reason I suspect they’re may be no difference is it wouldn’t suprise me if M-Lock is some kind of con to get people to buy them while other people will be still be content to pay full price.
Anyway, so yeah X-Files series 1 is more open than I expected. While they may not talk about alien invasion plans as openly as they do in later series it is more open than I expected about the conspiracy. Another thing that suprised me was how much meat there is to this series though. I thought it would be a lot of setup and getting into it with the middle series being the ones with the really great self contained mystery episodes but series 1 has plenty on it’s own.
The boxset comes with a seperate disk for the extras which include featurettes, deleted scenes, TV trailers and some other good stuff although commentary would have been cool.
Overall, it’s a great series and it has enough extras to boot to make it a great boxset.

Dawson’s Creek series 6 update
Sunday, January 1st, 2006Amazon are lagging behind Play.com that now have cover art for the boxset.
They are also scheduling the release for a week earlier than Amazon, on January 23rd.
